Getting Back On The Plan

Its All About Restarting and What You Can Learn From It

Every so often in life…you’re involuntarily or voluntarily faced with a decision. Maybe “it” even makes the decision for you!

You get knocked down.

How quickly can you get back up?

What is going to get you back up and on track? Will it be easy to align your actions back to your long term goals or is it going to take some herculean effort…support of friends and family…or a life changing experience or trip to knock you out of your funk and get back to it?

Whatever way it happens or how long it takes…it will happen. And you can learn from it.

Every day in every way I’m getting better and better…or at least I’m trying to! That’s what I’ve relearned over and over and somehow its made getting back at it…a bit easier each time. This is one of many mantra I’ve chosen to adopt.

In your own life…notice the words that you say to yourself and others…they have power. Start saying “better” words to yourself and you can improve from within.

It may seem like a long journey ahead…but its a rare opportunity to be able to embark on an adventure of your own choosing not in spite of the pitfalls or risks but because of them! To conquer the challenges ahead and to make something of my own that truly can benefit everyone…now that is the task at hand!

The risks and path are hopefully your own to choose…but if not, somehow take solace in the idea that it’ll be a learning lesson…fuel to your fire. (More on this later if your fire is a candle and not a roaring campfire!)

Throughout my own life I’ve self-described my ups and downs as a real life rollercoaster. I climbed higher on the first hill of life year and year…extending the climb through college and them bam! The first of many downs providing the “thrill of life”…and in hindsight the lust for life that so many seek on a daily basis - the purpose, the meaning, the fulfillment of something that truly means something. For me, it ended up being the most enjoyable rollercoaster ride I could have had and I’m happy for how its turned out so far. Could the hills have been higher and the downs have been lower…? Of course! But I’m not going down the rabbit hole here.

With every up and down of the figurative rollercoaster of life…I’ve asked myself what have I really learned? I’ll write more on each later as I’ve fully started to understand more with time...but with my various previous jobs I’ve managed to learn a lot about myself, who I want to work for, and what kind of boss and manager that I want to be. While I am still learning about myself and how I’ll be able to make an impact on the world….I know that will time I’ll be able to step down the path. With proven action I believe that I’ll be able to align with the right team and move forward in a meaningful way.

The question is…what have you learned so far?

Restarting is key.

Learn from each action and why you “paused”.

Improve each day.

These are some of the fundamental characteristics I commit myself to..in my own life, the potential business I hope to create, and in the world I see for the future.
