Every morning when I wake up…I see that painting. Whether its the copy hanging in my bathroom or the mental image burned into my brain…it holds a special place in my heart because at certain moments in my life…that is what feels most real to me. That feeling. That expression captured in colorful patches that communicate over time with historical action. Caspar David Friedrich reached out into the world in 1818 and now over 200 years later its still communicating to me with such power and force that I have goosegumps writing about the power and influence one image has over me. That was 1818…today is is February 26th, 2021.

With the advent of modern technology...social media has become a critical part to reaching out into the world. This website and its blog will be one arm of my attempt to speak out to the 8 billion people alive today but more importantly will serve as a lasting record to the billions that have yet to be born! Those who will grow up in a world not yet established...one dependent on the actions we make today and the change and impact we can have for the future. I don't know the exact plan yet but I know that in time, with the help of others, i'll be able to figure it out.

I humbly beseech you...whoever you are and whenever you're reading this...to take up the challenge of being humble as well! Accept the reality that everyone is your equal...because you are no better and no worse than everyone else on a fundamental level.  With every blog post or update to my website, with every youtube video I create, and every personal training session...I vow to instill positivity and optimism, a curiosity and passion for the known and unknown, and above all...communicate that with education and action literally anything is possible and within our reach as a species.
